John Seymour

Seymours coming from Dorset?

28 Nov 1811 William Seymour bachelor of Marle in the County of Dorset, England Eleanor Courage spinster of Harbour Grace

I found these earlier references in Harbour Grace. Maybe some earlier family mixing occurred.

197-198 No date shown (but presumably 30 Sept 1763) Court Proceedings:

-Henry Thamer and Alias Seymour complained against Thomas Pike, to be settled by Justice Garland.

209 25 Oct 1763 Gov. Thomas Graves (St. John’s) Charles Garland Esq., Justice of the Peace (Harbour Grace) Henry Seymour petitioned that Samuel Pike (Mosquito Cove) refuses to pay him his due wages. If Pike does not pay immediately, Garland will sell the defendants effects to pay the wages.
